What is Reiki?
Reiki is a technique that enhance self healing first developed in Japan in the early 20th century. It involves the flow of energy through the practitioner's hands into the client's body at various places. It is no a massage technique nor is it belief-based.

How does Reiki work?
Energy flows through your body alone pathways called chakras and meridians, m nourishing your organs and tissues and supporting vital functions.
Reiki works to facilitate your body to heal by restoring disrupted energy flow. The practitioner identifies problem areas and using the Reiki energy, assists in clearing the pathways and facilitating healthy flow.

Reiki is a powerful tool for self healing in mind, body, and spirit work and is used in chakra balancing. It can be used alongside more conventional medical treatments to soothe anxiety caused by illness or damage to the immune system.
​It is also beneficial for stress reduction and can help you sleep better which in turn has a beneficial effect on many different ailments.

What happens during a Reiki session?
You usually lie down and remain fully clothed. The practitioner gently places their hands on or near your body in a series of key positions around your head and shoulders, stomach, hands, and feet and holds each position for several minutes before moving on to the next.

Clients report a range of experiences during their Reiki sessions, from feeling a warm tingling sensation to falling asleep. Most commonly , they experience an immediate release of tension.
